Lunchtimes

LUNCHTIME ARRANGEMENTS

At St Nicholas School, children have the option of a school meal or they may bring a packed lunch. They choose to have school meals or sandwiches for a whole half term at a time and cannot swap from day to day.  All KS1 children are entitled to receive a free hot meal every day.  If you decide to opt out of this system, you will need to provide a packed lunch.  A meal will automatically be provided for your child in KS1 unless you inform us that you wish to opt out.

The new school meal menu (commencing 7th November 2016) can be viewed below:

Warwickshire County Caterers provide our school meals which are prepared and cooked on site. Their ‘Pupils' Daily Menu’ will allow your child to enjoy exciting new dishes and firm favourites such as filled jacket potatoes and British pork sausages. Their award winning menus and the quality of the ingredients they use are all planned to comply with the Government’s Nutrient and Food Based Standards.

For more information on where the ingredients come from for our school meals, please visit www.warwickshire.gov.uk/schoolmeals

For lots of useful ideas and advice on packing a healthy lunchbox for your child, please have a look at the Public Health Agency leaflet, 'Are you packing a healthy lunch?' available to download here.

SCHOOL MEAL PAYMENTS

Payments for school meals are managed via the secure online payment system, ParentPay. The office staff will be able to assist you with any queries concerning ParentPay and can provide you with your username and password.

If you do not have access to the internet, please contact the school office and request a PayPoint Card which can be used to make dinner money payments for school at any store displaying the yellow and purple PayPoint sign. There are nearly 22,000 terminals located in newsagents, convenience stores, supermarkets, garages and off-licences near to you.
